Do you use StumbleUpon on your forums, if not than I think you should!
I'd suggest you also use the su.pr URL shortener when posting links to your network. Here is some info on integrating it into your forum.
    http://www.stumbleupon.com/help/su-pr-short-urls-on-your-own-domain/
Be sure to add this code to your header.

Simply add the following link to your header portion of your web page (usually in a header template file):
    Code:
    <script src=”http://su.pr/hosted_js” type=”text/javascript”></script>
This will show the "stumble bar" to anyone that clicks through to your site via a su.pr link.

I've been a fan of stumbleupon for a while because it's a quick way to find some really cool websites, it's also a great way to get major traffic to your forum.

Here are two examples (pictures really help)

This is a funny image I posted at the end of January.
You'll see the next day the page already had 3,000 stumbles. That means I had at least 3,000 views to that page alone! Two days later we had another 3,000 views. A full 5 days after I had posted the image, we topped out at 13,000 stumbles! I posted our analytic info for that page here and dubbed it the "Stumble Effect"
This day set a record for number of people on at once as well as max guest for the day.

Well today we broke our record once again with this thread which was posted 12 days ago. [*edit*[OVER 100K STUMBLES - 4/2011]]
I knew it would get some traffic from stumble but this didn't happen right away. I think it had a few hundred up till yesterday when it hit 9,000 stumbles out of nowhere!
Well as of right now it's had 26,000 stumbles and we've had 20,000 guest on the site today alone.

I could dig up a few more examples that I've started, but I just wanted to start some discussion to see who all uses stumbleupon, what success have you had or what questions have you came up with?

So where do you post and get the short links from? You posted them in twitter to get the traffic started? I mean I do not see where you posted it originaly? And I installed the bar but nothing as of yet it seems :(

What I do is I'll grab the forum link, open up www.su.pr to get the short link, than I'll post them to my network via www.ping.fm

The su.pr URL shortener doesn't screw up anything with vBSEO? I thinking about utilizing this.

I have a stumbleupon bookmark at the bottom of threads.

Does ping.fm update your social networks at once? Or, you have to do it 3 times, meaning individually for example Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon?

    Correct.
I make my URL with SU.pr than push it out through ping.fm to my whole network.
