Where in the postbit would you put a Living Avatar?

I've added Living Avatars for my Premium Members, but found that though people enjoyed playing with the interface, they preferred to keep their regular avatars instead. The premium version lets you place it anywhere in the postbit, which I think my users would prefer. But where to place a second avatar so it fits in? I don't want to place it next to the standard one, that would throw off the top of the postbit.

A living avatar - is that a cartoon picture of the member?

Pretty much... the members get to pick the components of the image and arrange them, then the script makes a PNG out of it. More information here: Living Avatars - Home

Why would you want your Members to have 2 avatars? That's just silly IMO - I would recommend you allow either/or for those with permissions to use the LA system ;)

I agree with MsJac - having two avatars in a single postbit may look a bit awkward (or, out of place). I'd consider either a) using one or the other (for all members) or b) devising a permissions system that would allow members to choose between the two avatar options.

They'd have a choice... Living Avatar or Standard.

Forget about it being an avatar; let's pretend I said I wanted to put a 100x100 image somewhere in the postbit to indicate that a member is a Premium member, as a status symbol for the member and in hopes of generating interest in Premium memberships amongst other users. Where would you put it?

I think the points been missed here. The living avatar is for a special group and is being implemented no matter what to entice people to become a member of the group. It's irrelevant (to us) whether it looks terrible, and/or it's not going to suit/or look awkward. He/she is asking which is the best placement for the living avatar would be.

Anyway, I looked at your style and it appears to be fixed (and very narrowly at that. I would find it hard to place a living avatar anywhere on your current style (postbit) and it would look terribly cluttered.

If I were to make a suggestion, i would box/apply a border the

Thanks for your response Shelley, I'll try experimenting with it on the right. Maybe I'll try aligning that text to the right to see how it works.

Okay, Here's what I would do.

First, shift the icecream rank under the original avatar. Place the username & title above the original avatar.

    Then, shift the

data under the icecream ranks on the left then place the living avatars to the far right.

with that said your postbit will have more height but the data and images will be neat, tidy & more organized.

Either as a rank icon or if you're using the horizontal postbit, then directly to the right of the right of the avatar. Maybe to the right of the signature. Not sure how it would look floated over there thought.
