I believe there is a thread about having a censored words list, but I do not think there is one that has a list of censored words.

If you censor any words, what words are they? On either of my sites, we don't censor any words. If the words are directed to an individual, we will change the word using asterisks.

However, in general, no words are blocked. It all depends how they are used in context.

yeah, and I'm not sure the administration here would appreciate this list being posted here. Seems to me only the most foul words would be on it.

Personally, I don't mind if you post the list here. I'm sure some viewers wouldn't appreciate it.

We have [expand] tags, so feel free to wrap the words in that.

I never mentioned my policy: I don't censor any words, because my moderators (or myself) would be around to manually correct it quick enough.

One word can be acceptable in some contexts, but unacceptable in others, which is why I don't use a filter.

He was cloaking that list in layers of secrecy to protect our delicate ears.

That was rather amusing, I must say. :speechless:

In all honesty, I don't believe in "censoring" curse words or racist remarks automatically - if I see a post including such words and/or phrases, I'll take the appropriate action at that time personally.

I deal with the curses when they come up (which isn't very often) but I do have racial slurs blocked as I consider them more serious offenses.

Indeed; our only rule on words is not to use racial slurs in the thread title. You can make them, but they'll be removed and you'll be infracted.

To be honest that was annoying and frustrating - I use to have people like you on my site who did the same type of thing every time they posted - they frustrated me so much i banned them for 2 days.
