I meant for a hompage, As wordpress is very good as a CMS and extremely easy to use.

thats a default Wordpress feature, look in the Admin panel under settings for Permalinks.

 

The permalinks need to be changed I have done a quick search for you and have come up with the following information (it also came in handy for me)

Go into your wordpress Admin section and click on settings and go to permalinks:
You have a couple of possible options there on how you want your permalinks - most involve the date etc which can look messy especially when you have as much content that your site could so if you select the option which says: Custom Structure

Here is just a start of what you can put into it:
/%category%/%postname%

This will bring up: XBOX/FIFA10/ <-- as part of your address (obviously that is an example - the code I have given you puts the name of your category and the name of the post)

Best of luck and let me know how you go I am using WordPress for my very first time on my sport website and am still learning some of the ins and outs of it all but after seeing your question and trying to help I have improved my permalinks to say the same thing it works out and looks great.

 

Yeah, Sorry i thought it was a plugin because on my Win8 site i have it like that. (windows8online.info) and also a SEO plugin with an automatic sitemap submitter to major search engines when i create a new post, i also have a built in twitter feed for new posts..

Im still unsure if i am going to transfer to wordpress because if i do i could easily get 100 cheats on there in a week and members and staff can also contribute because as of now it has to be done by FTP.
