    So basically my forum yesterday was ranked at the following;

    First page - "General Discussion Forum"
    Forth page - "Chat Forum"
    Third page - "Teen Forum"
    First page - "Advice Forum"

    Today, I can only see my site on the second page for "Advice Forum". Obviously I expect Google search rankings to change all the time, I just don't understand why we've essentially dropped off the radar.

    Can anyone provide some insight into this? Also, perhaps someone may be willing to help with my site's meta title/description/title?

    Perhaps it's a location thing? Or based on other factors like search preferences, what account you're using, etc?

    Because your site shows up when I search 'general discussion forum' with the quotes, not without them. But I'm in the UK, so I have no idea how it works for US users.

    Either way, I do remember reading somewhere that Google ranks pages differently based on geographic location and IP addresses. And that if you keep going to the same sites, they'll rank better for your account only (meaning that if you keep visiting your forum, you'll see it ranked higher and higher). Also does this based on if you're using a Google + account (based on account preferences and stuff).

    Results can change for a few reasons -

    - Logged In to your Google account
    - UK / USA search variances
    - Google Dance
    - Penguin / Panda down ranked your site
    - Recent new back link campaigns cause your ranks to temporary dance

    Did your ranks come back or have they still gone?

    It could be a number of things, maybe a link or a backlink to or from an adult site, lots of plagiarism or maybe Google just made a mistake. It happens at times but it should be back after a while. Alternatively you can contact Google and ask them what's up.
