vBulletin vs phpBB vs other?

I've been using phpBB for a few years and I guess you could call me and enthusiast. I've watched the phpbb board grow and have pretty much gotten used to the design, ways of modifying and features. What type of forum do you prefer and why do you prefer it?

Some things I like about phpbb3 are:

• The phpbb3 themes are nice and clean looking.

• Open source means thousands of people are updating and modify it to make it better.

• Compared the phpbb 2.xx tons of features or "mods" come preinstalled.

• And of course.. it's free.

 

we have Vbulletin and since we got it back in march...we love it since you can customize literally every aspect of it and ad google adsense ads, adbrite ads and custom ads from clients that want to have their ad on your forum home..

plus it has A LOT OF MODS to go with it...

I prefer to use vBulletin since I have no problems customizing my forums for the past 2 years....

 

I agree with you adam....
phpbb is slowing gaining it;s standards in each version... and is giving tough competition to paid VB
SMF is also nice
