I thought I would just make this its own thread versus updating it in the other vBulletin release threads.

If you haven't seen it, I'll have a vBulletin 5 Connect demo for anyone that wants to poke around and see what we can do. This demo will be updated with each build that comes out as soon as I have time to upload the files. I'm on the beta team so I have access to the non-public beta builds and have gotten permission from @LawrenceCole personally that I can run these on a live site.

I have vbulletin 5 beta 11 on right now, I started uploading the beta 13 files at lunch and will finish the install sometime this afternoon or after work today.

I setup http://vB5Connect.com as the main URL and have redirected a few domains to it.

There are a few modifications out already for vBulletin 5 Connect, and I will be testing them out as well.

I'm willing to give users temporary access to the admin or mod areas as well, there would be some restrictions in the user and usergroup areas though. No one would be able to grab your passwords or any sensitive information like that.

    Enjoy!
    -Brandon

Nice. :) I see what Lawrence Cole contacted you for! ;)

I've never seen a corporation do this. It's usually always: Go to the owner, and sue them for "infringement" of trademark.

    Well..lol
He did contact me about vbulletinconnect.com and asked me to take that site down, suggested that “vb” anything wouldn’t be a problem. That’s why I now have it on vb5connect.com to avoid any copyright issues. This is a new license, I also have a beta license that I assume will die at some point when vbulletin 5 connect is released as gold.
Lawrence seems like a real busy guy, but I’ve been able to get my questions answered when I’ve had them by him or the vBulletin staff, so I’m a happy camper. :)

Also.. Here is my short attempt at the site builder, I was able to make this demo page in a matter of seconds.

I want to play with the sitebuilder and style generator next.

Navigation still sucks. No forum listing.

I have never been a fan of the activity stream, either, @Brandon.

The quote isn't showing on my phone, just the text version.
I'll have to take a look at the admin, f5 doesn't help?

I've had to close the demo down until beta 14 or higher is released to the public.
Even though I had "thought" I had gotten permission from @LawrenceCole, I found out today this wasn't the case. :(
So I've reverted this back to the blog and will update things ASAP to the forum again.

    Sorry everyone
