vBulletin 4.0.8 - Now Available to Download

    I would like to announce that version 4.0.8 of vBulletin Publishing Suite and vBulletin Forum is now available. If you have an active vBulletin license, you can download your copy of 4.0.8 from the vBulletin Members Area at: http://members.vbulletin.com

    4.0.8 fixes over 390 bugs since the release of 4.0.7.

    Due to stylevars changes there may be some additional display issues present. We have made every effort to locate and resolve as many as possible, but areas that may be affected from the bugs we’ve found are with Blogs utilizing IE6, and RTL.
    We will prioritize display/layout issues caused by 4.0.8 that you report for our next release.


    Again, thank you to everyone who has filed bugs in our bug tracker, we sincerely appreciate your assistance - and we hope with this release that we have addressed a large number of the bugs that you have raised.

    No I don't just yet. Will have soon.
    I am looking at somebody to professionally install it.

    oh, it's pretty easy to install
    or you can pay me to do it :)
    or there are a few ppl on this forum that can help you as well

    LMAO I can add it to my list.. I still have 4 more to upgrade.. Upgrading forums with lots of posts and members is PITA ...At least they are not charging us per download yet LOL

    I will have to think about it.

    I will try and install it myself. But if it doesn't work, I will have to think about it a little more.

    It's pretty easy to install. If you can create a user/database, you can install vb. If you run onto problems, just ask. :)

    It is very easy to install, that's if you can get to the installation page, which I spent most of the time trying to do yesterday.
    Have downloaded the package, have filled out all the stuff with the correct info on it. But step 2 comes up with an error.


    Extracted all the files. Filled out all the info and it is uploading now.

    It was something to do with not filling out the config.php file properly.
    I got to the installation page now.
    Step 2 = The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

    It now doesn't like my email address.

    Ya you don't have the db's setup correctly in the configuration file.

    That's why I am trying to do this myself. I got this strange error message last night. It said about the wrong config.php.new was used but exists.
