I'm building a new site for t-shirt printers. I have a lot of coding left for the main functions of this site, but I'm still curious about what people might think of the layout.

    TrackYerTees

I've set up a demo account:
    username: demo
    password: test

The forums are the "Help Desk" and will be private so that clients can only see their threads.

The site is not open to the public yet, and registrations are disabled.

    Thanks! :)

I should mention that I haven't done any of the buttons on the site yet. They're just the vB default buttons, but that WILL change...

I guess I just don't understand the concept of the site, can you explain it a bit more? Are you offering some sort of freight tracking, or is it just a site for t shirt designers and the track in the name is throwing me off?

I'm sorry, but I cannot let the cat out of the bag yet on what this site will truly be.

It will include non-standard vB functionality that is aimed at the t-shirt printers industry, but will later be developed into an application for many small businesses.

It just happens to be that I'm using vB as a launching point for this site, partly because of the built-in permissions, partly because of the template system, partly because of the built-in subscriptions, partly because most security issues will be fixed with vB releases, and other aspects of forums software.

It will not be a store or a "forum", per-se.

I happen to like using forum software packages as jumping-off points for other types of applications, and I've been doing it ever since 2003.

I'm mostly concerned with what people's opinion of my current styling is.

It must have been a hickup in my hosting.

    It's working now.

    I desperately need a dedicated server. :(

We had a chat about this on MSN but I'll give you a full review here since you gave access!

First Impression: I am not sure about the logo, you still have that little bug on Safari at the bottom, but besides that, I love the concept of the metal.

Favicon: Will you leave the vB favicon up there? It would be nice to see a little t-shirt or something along those lines.

On, Off icons: You have all of the default vB icons, it would be nice if you would customize it a bit more!

Design: Over all, I like the concept, I love the metal look, but I am not too sure about the color choice, the blue on the links don't look good in my opinion. I like the "Your Account" placement and again, will you replace some of the vB icons so it looks better on your forum?

My suggestion is keep the metal pattern a bit more, maybe even surrounding the "Your Account" or even the forums. I'm still puzzled on what could be the purpose of this site, but I am sure as hell intrigued.

    Good Luck!

    Thank you, FMB!

Yeah, I haven't replaced any of the default images yet. I admit that. :)

Actually, most will be replaced with text links, anyway, as far as buttons go. The status icons will change.

I guess I should have mentioned that this was still very much a work-in-progress, and I just wanted to see what people thought of the layout and general style before I got too far into it.

I did replace the Favicon, but I can't get it to show up in Firefox. I even restarted my computer, but it's still showing the default vB icon. :(

When you say, "keep the metal pattern a bit more", would you mind expanding on that? I'm not sure I get it...

As for what this site will be about...all I can say right now is that it is targeted to t-shirt printers and decorators. Most people here would have no interest in it at all. :)

It's actually going to be a model for other future sites, too, aimed at vendors of various types. :)

    Thank you again!

If you get the chance tonite, would you mind IMing me?
