Thread display icon (firstnew.gif)

Just more of a visual grievance than anything mainly on my part. because of the abundance of new posts being made I feel the firstnew.gif icon should be replaced for a custom image.

Any chance you can replace this (if you haven't got an icon) you are more than free to use the one I designed in the attachment.

 

Shelley's is much nicer.

I've been wanting to replace this icon (as I hate just about all of the vB default ones) and I never came across something that'd be usable.

No problem, You don't have to use it just something to tied you over untill a more appropriate icon suits the theme. Like you stated, default vbulletin icons just don't float my boat. Don't even get me started on those emoticons you haven't changed yet. I'll save that suggestion for a rainy day.

Actually, Wayne is using a set that I love (the one you are making animated icons for) and it's on my to-do list to replace ours with them. But I don't want to seem like we're copying his site. I'll feel bad. :o

 

Good choice nick. I would have used the emoticons wayne is using but I don't like using other peoples graphics so I'll be designing a new set, same kind of style (with my own personal graphic touch) and replacing them with the variations I'm using which is about 50 so they'll be 50+ emoticons in the latest pack I'm designing.

 

I'll be very interested in seeing what you come up with, Shelley. I just checked your animated WIP thread and they're coming along nicely!

 

The attached icon is nice, better than default, but I'm not sure if it will be a little small compared to the thread title.

It's the icon that brings you to the post you quoted.
All we would really need to do is rotate the one Shelley gave us. But I'm feeling rather lazy right now.
