Suggestion for Premium Memberships

I am not sure if premium members already have this as I aint one just yet but I would like to suggest if it isnt already in place for premium members here to have spiderable signature links, I am sure many would love this and would certainly make it even better for those paying for the membership

I'm a bit confused in regards to the term "spiderable signature links". Would you mind explaining this a bit more? I'm quite sure that I understand the general idea, but any further information would help!

Nothing has been changed, as far as I'm aware.

Google knows forums. Google knows forum signatures. It isn't hard to find them and detect them. You probably need 1,000 signature links to create the worth of 1 valid backlink. Having them spiderable would only cause link decay for this site.

It would also be a hassle with people selling links in their signatures. It can be good money for the signature owner. I used to charge a $100 a month for signature links on Sitepoint.com.

 

Yeah its the same on DP, hundreds of people posting loads just so they can sell their signatures. Thats the thing with signature links being spiderable, if you allow it you tend to gain a lot of members and posts from it as theyre posting more to get their link noticed as well as indexed/benefitting their sites, you also can lose page rank but not many people care about that anymore. If theyre not spiderable I havent seen any real downsides or lack of people posting but having them spiderable certainly does bring on a lot more of it.
