Domain now sold, removed the link above because it's taking time to update itself on the marketplace as sold.

 

No need for it anymore, I'm aware it was an aged domain and well indexed by Google because of it. A bargain!

I'm coming off the web next month, even if I wasn't I've no interest in running sites now.

Yeah there comes a time when doing forums for many years become the same ol thing.

I have for a while been thinking of giving up the internet largest climate forum to a member and go away.It is getting state for me and I have a small political forum to work on and busy being a moderator on one of the largest climate blogs in the world.

Twenty years for you mrgtb is a long time and it is understandable that you want to get out of it and do something else.

 

Well it's not just getting out of it to be fair, I just don't think forums in general work well anymore. You'll always have some that do of course, but by in large most are struggling like mad all the time. Also, most forum owners do spend most of their time online "sat there on their own community", what's the point doing that when 98% of the time - nothing is even happening there. Wasting your life away spent running and sitting on them as an owner of one.

Take Mark.B for example, all he does on the web is "camp out" on his forum all day long, each and every day. That's a pretty :poop: life if you ask me. But the thing is, we all do it when running a forum though. Had enough of doing that one now! It's little things like that which made my mind up in the end to call it a day, tired of wasting my life away running a stupid forum board to get posts from people you don't even know.
