Many of us set one day a week to update our forums, but how about one day a month for updates.

Honestly, I think this would be better than once a week. This way, all the forum software updates that have been released within that month can be installed in one day.

I do updates as necessary, but I do allocate entire days to work on each forum in turn. One of these days I intend to add a little random script to my homepage to suggest which one I should be working on that day :)

I don't set aside a day for updates. I do them when appropriate. I still haven't updated to vBulletin 3.8.3 because a) it wasn't a security release and b) the fixed bugs don't seem to affect my day to day operations. I probably won't upgrade until 4.0 alpha.

If an important update (i.e. a security fix) is released, I'd rather take care of it on that very same day. There's really no point in waiting for a "scheduled' day.

I don't set aside time to do updates and such. I just do them as necessary.

I'm most productive as I see fit, which is usually sporadically. I cannot say "tomorrow I will complete this, this and this". It's more like "I'm ready to do this so, I will do it now".

I do them as soon as possible no set dates at all, just when I can.

I don't really set a day, but I check my forums daily for anything out of place and such.

I wish that I could schedule like that; I usually do stuff as soon as it comes to me though.

I wish i could schedule updates, I find myself spending most my days on sites like this and just continuously browsing my site to see things I should/could fix. I don't have scheduled days though although with my wife I do say...

"Hey sweetie (yes sucking up) I am going to work on (website here) today - minimul disruptions please - love you (yes sucking up again)"

I just install updates days that I find them! :)

But I think this way is much more organized.

I don't know about that Sportswiz, you might not want to let some of those security updates sit around uninstalled. Could be a bad idea.
