Quick Reply Menubar

Any particular reason its in two lines now? One icon and dropdown shouldn't have broke it like that. That and the smilie box underneath makes the actual post entry field rather small. You can only see a few lines.

 

I installed the advanced quick reply mod which replaces the default quick reply with its own version. I mentioned this elsewhere on the forum, but the fact that it the formatting buttons on two separate lines is bugging me to no end - and I haven't the slightest clue on how to fix it.

Would you be able to perhaps check the product xml and see if you can figure this one out?

I will adjust the height to accommodate the added smilies.

 

Haven't looked at the code for the addon yet but it looks like it is just replicating the complete editor as the quick reply. Since you don't have the options enabled it shows two half-lines instead of one line.

Would have to install it and see what its doing but it seems to just hide things you don't have enabled.

 

Maybe this would be better off disabled until we can figure out why it is doing this?

 

Certainly. It's being noticed more than I thought it would.

 

It's back to normal, but the simile drop-down is gone. Was that a different mod or a template edit?

 

That was a different mod that I disabled when I installed the advanced QR. I will re-enable it now.

While I am not particularly fond of smilies under the quick reply, maybe this addon will restore that functionality without the issues of the Advanced Quick Reply addon.

I tried that one, but it used the same smiley row-formatting as the one used in full/advanced reply... which is stupid.

The way it is now with the drop-down is very clean in my opinion.

But I should mention when we had them under the quick reply box it wasn't making the box any smaller for me. I did see the double row though. I'm using Safari.

 

I did make the adjustment before disabling it... perhaps you didn't notice?
