I've seen a few people saying they've had issues posting on the site.
This thread is a reminder for me and a way to troubleshoot.

I'll reply once I think I've fixed it so people can test :)

it seems to the "social" style on the post page, if you click More Options... you'll be able to post just fine.
also if you change your style to "default" you can post with no issues

I just made a new style based off the default style, what do you guys think?
    It's currently set as default

hmm.. not I'm getting the same issue posting on the new theme which is based off the default so the style should be good..

    further troubleshooting...
Is anyone else have issues posting?

*well it posted fine here but another thread is was laggy*... :stomp:

On some sub forums, members have noticed that the delete button is missing due to access restrictions. Might be inconsistencies in the database introduced by the mergers.

Also, posting currently doesn't necessarily give you feedback: For me, the button often grays out, and then returns to normal, and I have to reload the page to see if it was posted, b/c it doesn't load automatically. That also seems to depend on the sub forum the post was made in.

    ah I see

okay what I need is to know what sections these are
it's likely a permission issue with a the hierarchy of the forums, there are child forums but I may have overlooked an option
reporting a post with a comment about the delete button should work, then I'll look over the forum permissions

In General Discussions, I saw a double post and I ran into a timeout myself when posting.

I get this problem sometimes too- sometimes when I first try to post, the site will kind of freeze up on me, so I go to post it again, and it doubles up on me. I usually post in the general discussion section, so that is where I notice the problem happening

I've disabled the arcade for now, that may have been causing problems.
Please let me know if you get the double post issue again

Looks like this may of been it
I had to remove the arcade, I'll check it out and see if there is an update out but for now we're keeping it disabled.

I think we may of fixed it.
It looks like it was only threads that someone was "watching" it and had email notifications.

I've setup the email settings as default and was able to successfully post.

let me know if it happens again
