Do you count the post in your Off-Topic forum to the users total Post Counts? Or do you let them be invisible like the misc section here on AA.

I actually prefer to have the post count enabled in the off-topic section(s). For the "SPAM" section, however, I disable it.

Enabled in all forums apart from staff and elite forums.

I disable post count in Off-Topic forums, such as Miscellaneous, Games, etc.

Post count is enabled in every forum, except staff forums, on my boards.

It's interesting to hear about those of you that disable the post count in the staff-related forums. I would have never thought of doing that. :)

I've thought of it, but then realized if I did that, my post count would decrease by half, as sad as that is. :giggle:

The only users who care about post count on my forum are the ones who post in the Off-topic forums. So, yeah, I leave it on. (I have an option on my forum on whether to show post count or not and it's set to not show by default.)

I would disable it for a contest, but in general I'm not worried about off-topic posts being included in post counts.

I think having it disabled in off topic is a good thing.

I have post count enabled for all forums. Some people just enjoy seeing 20,000+ posts associated with their account and I don't see any reason to not at least acknowledge the sheer amount of time associated with that kind of spamming.

Thanks for spelling them out, Nick. I don't like to do the smilie popup for simple things, but would rather just know the characters and type it out. My favorite of that bunch - :lmao:

I never disable post count, regardless of the forum.

The one exception I can see is the staff forum. But like Nick said, I'd have no posts.

I used to disable post count in the off-topic forum, but members started asking why and I decided I might as well count posts there, too. Besides, the off-topic forum is as much a part of the community as any other forum, even the on-topic parts - so why not have it enabled there? Besides... it made my post count way ahead of anybody else's on the forum :p
