New Posts Link on Homepage

Hi guys.

This is a small suggestion, almost not worth creating a thread, but I wanted to toss it out there anyway.

When visiting the home page there is no link to see New Posts. You have to click on Forum first before getting the link to see new posts. Maybe add it somewhere just under the tabs on the home page like it is on the forum would be good. No big deal either way, just an idea. Thanks for your time! :cheers:

 

We plan to get rid of the homepage and immediately redirect all visitors to the /forum, so it shouldn't be an issue, soon.

Just out of curiosity, why are you getting rid of it? The members prefer coming straight to the forum? I was considering adding a CMS page to my site with vB4, but TBH it isn't necessary in my case so I probably shouldn't.

 

1 - We never update the homepage, and the content that we did update it with is the same as our Articles database.

2 - Until the vB 4 CMS/Suite is released, we're going to redirect users straight to the forum. I would like to use the CMS as our homepage, but I'm not sure what we will put on it yet. We'll think about that when the time comes.

 

We're not happy with our homepage. Besides, it is no secret that the main attraction of AA is the forum. It'll be temporary until we have something we like to put on our homepage (in the very distant future).

This is one of many minor tweaks coming in the next few days.
