Well, I thought I was just about finished opening forums. With as much trouble as they are, I thought I was done with new forums. That was until last night.

Last night, as I was laying in bed about half asleep, I had an idea of a new forum - along with the domain name.

This morning I log into namecheap, check the domain name and sure enough its open.

I just bought a new domain name and at the end of the month I'll be buying a vbulletin license and opening a new forum.

So never say never. You dont know when your gonna change your mind.

Ain't that the truth. I said TKK was going to be my last forum.

And I too was in bed one night almost asleep, when the idea of the support forum came to me. I've struggled with it for a few weeks now. But my son's therapist kept telling me how important it was. Soooooooooooooooo... here I go again.

So what is the forum going to be about? Generally speaking of course. Don't expect you to reveal your secrets.

I have a few forums and said I'd stick to one a year, the other night I bought about 20-something domain names and over the next 2 months I plan to open a dozen forums (some of the domains are just misspellings or .com / .net combo's) so yeah, never say never lol.

I hope one day to have a hundred forums online. They're a really cool business and you get in touch with soooooo many people who want to make it work with your for whatever reason. My forums have a lot of commercial interest so I've never wanted to launch too many due to the management of them commercially, but sod it. If half of them work it's still a quicker turnaround than one a year.

    Well done to you.

I've bought domain names in the middle of the night whilst a little tipsy and have spelt them wrong or made a type mess in the purchase lol. So well done to you not doing it half sleepy. It's not in me to wait, though I do try to.

I'm really done with them after I get rid of these last few I have.

Been doing it for 6-7 years now and not much real success so figured it's time to move on!

Wayne, I think its going to be more trouble then its worth. A thread was posted on digital point and vbulletin.org, and I got neutral-negative feedback at both places.

I was thinking of opening a forum on youtube. The domain name is forumsonyoutube. But since the name "youtube" is owned by google, I might be opening up a can of snakes.

So I might just add a youtube section to the bottom of my wife camera forum. I'am not sure yet though.

I have been posting videos on youtube for 2 1/2 years. So its something that I have experience with. But I dont know if I want the worry hanging over my head of using the youtube name in the domain.

Well TBH I've seen quite a few sites with Youtube in the domain, but I wouldn't like to risk it myself if it was me.

I'm always looking for new ventures, but I was pretty sure that I was done for a while. I was wrong; I'm working on a new forum right now.

Mikey do you have extra licenses that you need to get rid of? I'm looking for 1 to 3 licenses (depending on price) for my forums to come in the near future.

Hi Arny, I'm afraid I have one license w/project tools I was looking to get rid of, but it isn't eligible for transfer for at least 6 months. Sorry :/

I said I was going to quit the forum thing as well lol. I started a Sim game (simbergusa.com) forum which was not successful, infotechland.org....was supposed to be an it site, well, that didn't work, I started texasdiscussion.com, failed pretty miserably as well lol. Then one night I'm laying in bed (strange how this works) talking with my wife, when it hits me.....time for a new domain lol. Next thing I know I'm on namecheap registering planetwideforums.com (it was available, surprisingly) and now I'm starting to work on it and getting ready to completely launch it and try to advertise (once I find ways to do that lol). REcently I also purchased a domain for hacking (ethical) and started that one out.

So I'm working on two new forums, even after, not even 2 months ago, saying I quit forums lol.
