Nav links too close to Back link

I've been noticing with increasing frequency lately than when I go to click on the navigational links up on top (a la Alien Soup >> The Mothership >> Service Deck), when I go to click on the Alien Soup link to bring me back to the main forums page, I'm often inadvertantly clicking on the Back link because the border of the link extends all the way down to the very top of the navigational links text.

Any way to adjust that so that the Back link size is either a little more contrained to the word Back, or by adjusting the navigational links down a line or two?
