My son, my nephew and I went on a day hike over the weekend. Now I just have to get the videos edited and uploaded.

    This is part 1

    Looking good

I'll take a stab at it with my amateur self lol

That puddle of water isn't moving and is probably stagnate. If so you could get sick drinking it. I guess in a worst case scenario, you could probably get away with it if you boiled the water.

As for what I would do about finding water, I'm thinking there is a chance you could find water there in the creek bed if it's still damp. I've heard water still runs through places like that but moves below the ground level. It's worth a try in my opinion. Just dig a hole in the sand and see if water flows into the hole over time.

That is about all I have for right now.

    Looking good Kevin!

Just in case you had not thought of it, maybe a newer HD format video recorder? I do not think they are expensive like they once were. People like the newer format.

The canon D10 I bought in May was "supposed" to film in HD or wide screen format. But once I got it home, it was regular 640X480 and .mov extension. Needless to say I was a little pissed off. And I am still having to deal with the .mov problem. The D10 is brand new on the market and is canons first water proof camera.

While on the hiking trip I filmed enough video footage to post at least 4 videos on youtube. But I have to convert them from .mov to .avi for windows movie maker to be able to edit them.

I'am a little "aggregated" about the whole deal. In the long run it would probably be better just to buy a new camera them have to learn new video editing software. The camera I am looking at is @$225. The one I bought in May was $325. But the more expensive one does not film in HD.

To answer the question, yes. I fully intended to be posting HD or wide screen videos as of May 2009, but the new camera did not have that feature. I read several reviews and the reviewers posted the wrong video format in the review.

I would be a little upset if a product did not do what it was supposed to (D10).
