So today I made $400 on the :computer:. and I thought I would tell you all how I did it because heck, sometimes I think it's important for me to spill the beans (trust me.. I was actually planning to do an e-book, but I don't have the time, nor the patience to write a long e-book today)..

    So anyway..

    1. I bought a forum with about 4k posts, on DigitalPoint (a marketplace like the one we have here at GF) with a partner for $200.
    2. We held onto the forum, without doing much work (I posted maybe 50 times)..
    3. We went to Flippa.com, Yesterday, listed it with a BIN of $850. Within 12 hours, it was binned.

Obviously after fees, and my partners cut I made $400..

Just goes to show you, how your ONLINE investments can turn for the better.

What kind of forum? How long did you own it? How much traffic was it getting?

I'm glad the site is still alive, I don't agree with the tactics some of the owners have used. The old skin was much much better, the vB4 update killed the site, I hate the way they ALL forced emails, (I have it set to off, and I received Calebs, Dans, and this new guys emails.. twice.) But at the end of the day, I'm happy that it's all good. I bought that site when it was a spambot haven with around 500 posts, I built it up and made a good profit. It appears you've made even more of a profit ;)

Mikey.. You have no idea how much it killed the site. He didn't even do the update right, so when I took over, passwords broke, and nobody could login. It was in shambles, I had to hire someone to repair it.

Sorry about the newsletters, I'm not into vB as much as you, so I didn't know how to fix that :P...

Anyway, yeah it was a nice profit, I did have a partner in it so yeah :)

Hopefully this guy means it when he's taking it over for good, but he's now sent me 2 e-mails and its getting annoying :P
