This is really a U.S. question as there may be different options in other countries. My paying members from other countries pay through Paypal and that's no problem.

I have a few members overseas who want to take paid subs but don't have cc's or Paypal with linked accounts. Currently one from Australia wants to send a MO in AUS$. I'm asking my bank what my options are for such deposits.

Thought I'd ask if anyone else has handled this and how it worked for you.

    Thanks!

You should direct them to Western Union and only accept your currency. Western Union Has locations in just about every country where there is internet access and will perform the currency exchange for them. Western Union also allows online transfers for a select number of countries, including Australia If you accept the foreign currency, your bank will charge you a currency exchange fee. While not much it can be as high as 5% of the transaction.

If I subscribe to a community outside the US, I expect to pay in their currency.

I only accept two currency types - Australian Dollar and New Zealand Dollar as they are the two member base we have.
