Has anyone checked out Kunena yet?

It actually looks pretty cool. It's built for Joomla! Besides the right side postbit, which really doesn't bother me all that much it's really clean looking.

Even their groups seem to be set up better

I'm not impressed, looks... blah, I don't know, looks too boring for me.

I actually like this... and I'll tell you why.

It's clean, and it does indeed look quite professional. While I personally wouldn't use it, I can see this being used in a corporate setting - or in other words, an environment that does not require an extensive set of features.

I don't like it. It's bulky and is no better than the 500 other choices out there.

Some specific things I don't like is the "# Viewing" block at the top of the page. That shouldn't be up there.

Also, the forum statistics (footer on index) displays way too much unnecessary and pointless information.

It's just nothing special, so I see no need to consider it. There are so many other alternatives.

It looks decent, and I agree with Chris; it would fit more for a corporate/business type forum.

Took the words right out of my mouth

I agree with Chris on this. It something plain enough for a business setup.

But you also have to remember that it is a baby in the forum world...

Forums look like a reskinned phpBB with a two-level vBulletin breadcrumb. I guess if Joomla were something I was interested in, it might be impressive. Beats Fireboard in my opinion.

Kunena's default skin is pretty nice! I'll have to look at this further for my next Joomla installation.
