    IPBAdmin.com

I do love IPB over vB, sorry Wayne and vBulletin. And I haven't really seen any active, decent IPB admin sites so figured I'd give it a shot. So, I'm going to see how this goes.

I'm planning it right now, but went ahead and grabbed the domain for it just to make sure I got it lol. I'll be buying an IPB license the 1st or whenever my check comes in again lol.

So, what do you think of the domain?

Care to explain that for me? You think it isn't a good topic don't you.

It's really one of the only topics I know about besides the oversaturated gaming/tech forums out there lol.

You have a domain name. It makes sense, as Michael was also saying.

Nothing more can really be said until you have it launched and underway, right? Hence, at least for me, I don't know what else that could be said about it.

If I was you I would concentrate on getting the site ready rather than advertising even before it has been put up/propagated. Im sure if you posted a request here with an offer for a few dollars someone will make you something great :)

EDIT: The logo im on about there lol

I'm planning it now. Waiting on my funds to come to get the license. Figured I'd start by writing it all out in Word or something so I can get some starting posts for when it is up.

Thats a very good idea, maybe get your rules drafted and terms/privacy policy too. Maybe even get onto drafting up a list of categories and forums so you know whats going where etc as well as picking out the keywords which you'll be optimising for as well as their monthly search amount.

Agreed about not advertising too early. We actually have a recent discussion on this matter: http://www.adminaddict.net/forum/pl...s-promotion/when-do-you-start-promoting-4605/

Might want to also check our Forum Guidelines regarding signatures, FYI. :D

I wonder if a good design counts as buying one from Transverse. I mean I don't have $150+ to spend on a skin right now. Maybe later after the forum has been opened and is successful, but right now would just buying a skin from say Transverse work fine?

Sorry Nick. It's just barely passed the upload requirements I think.

Professionnal Blue - IPB skins and IP.Board 3.0 - Skinbox

Very nice skin, if I must say so myself. I'd buy it.

Thanks for linking that site. I like that skin, but I'll keep looking for a bit. Also, I've got no idea how to write Terms of Use, etc. I usually just post something saying you can't do this, this, etc or we can ban/warn you. I'm trying to make this successful so I wanna do it all right lol.

AA has a good set of rules, terms and privacy policy, maybe take a look at those and reword them to your own needs, of course dont copy and paste em though :)

Thats certainly very nice too! Its the effect at the top which mainly makes it look great.

I was looking at the Blue Velvet to. Only thing I can't understand is the yellow striped bar they've got. Seems weird to me lol.

Well, I've got most of the forum rules and terms written up. I'm just writing out a few posts so I can go ahead and post them when I get the forum setup.
