Not counting posting; though that does seem like work at times. I'm curious to know how much time you generally spend each day on purely administrative tasks.

It usually changes, depending on what's going on at the forum (i.e., maybe we have a big competition or event going on) as well as what's going on in RL.
Lately, I've been spending maybe one or two hours with AA - not counting posting.
Maybe ten minutes on my Linnie Forum.

Not enough. I am moving to Mars so I can pick up an extra 39 minutes every day. Oh and 687 day years.

I've been known to stay for more than one day up making themes and fixing themes.

That's quite a long time. Are you working on new features or something?

My time on administrative stuff is really hard to put an time on since I am online and do that stuff as long as I need at that time or can.

I spend about 8 hours a day - not counting posting or anything trying to come up with ways to make my site different to my competitiors... and try to work out why in the last 48 hours I have had 146 guests visit my site and not one of them registered, so going back to look over content etc.

Well I spend most that time on site related work but not the actual site.

I don't spend much time on truly administrative tasks. I probably spend the most time upgrading hacks and the board itself whenever something is released. I'll let the hack updates queue up for a few weeks until I'm doing a version update unless it's a security issue in which case I'll do it as soon as I get the email notice.

I think I spend more time dealing with member issues via PM then I do actually technical stuff though.

Probably around 5 hours a day. I like tweaking things and making tiny little changes that probably no one else notices lol, ie i spent an hour or so looking for some free 16x16 pngs to put on the new navigator block on the homepage for the forum specific links.

Ive also spent ages trying to get a classifieds block up on main page, not exactly rocket science but just doesn't want to play ball:mad:

I spend way too much time. I try to work on my forum, but I end up posting and then going on admin forums to learn, but end up posting.

It does depend. Not that much after the forum is established for the most part, excluding posting. I spend a lot of time on my test forum, trying new ideas, my own mods, and creating entire new communities.

A couple of hours per day on the 2 established forums.
Been spending 3 - 4 hours on the new one.

I'm one who is never satisfied and constantly looking for ways to make the forums work better, look better, etc.

You'll hardly ever see any of my forums look exactly the same from one week to the next. Sometimes from one day to the next.

Not a lot, to be frank.

I rarely ever upgrade any thing at Setsou Design and Bird is the Word adds modifications at the discretion of us and its members.
