If you offer paid subscriptions to your members, how much do you charge and what do they get in return? Do you offer unique content only to those members, forum perks, or something else?

There's no need to restate what we offer on AA, but I would actually love to hear what other people offer and charge for their paid subscriptions. And just how much money have they made you (if you care to share)?

Larger avatar, private forum (free stuff given away), social groups, albums, special title, things like that. Nothing terribly interesting and it will always be a 'donation' more than anything else.

    $25/y (only option)

I am going to offer some premium services once I've transferred over to vB 4.0, and there is some more special things to come (custom)

I never intended to offer paid subscriptions on my Linnie Forum but I began to receive several inquiries from users asking how they can donate and exhibit their appreciation and devotion for the site.

Instead of looking at it as "pay to upgrade your account", it's more like "thank you for your donation - in return, we give you whatever perks we can":

Many members have contacted me and donated amounts that exceed $50. Some even donate monthly and some yearly. Members truly enjoy showing their appreciation.

Private forum, special title, a little icon that shows they are a VIP, enter extra comps - $1 a month, or $10 a year US $.

    Setsou Design: 5 dollars/3 months.
    Bird is the Word: N/A

We have made a decent amount at Setsou - we made ~75 dollars in a day, and one on our members made a general donation.

I offer different stuff but colored username, larger PM box and custom usertitle + much more.
And the price is very different on my forums I had in the past.

$5 a year and I have over 1200 subscribers (2 forums) with about 6-12 joining per day. The $5 doesn't sound like a lot and it's not...so members are likely to sign up. I estimate about $20,000 in income over the next 12 months from this.

I actually made the only Paypal IPN Subscription plugin for mybb just for my own sites.

If you run a strong forum and you don't have a paid subscription tier you're losing income. Ads on forums normally don't pay very well.

    I highly agree, Labrocca!

This is why we have your plug in at Setsou Design today. Bird is the Word is not yet big enough to install the modification. Plus, we'll probably generate a custom modification as I have Tom Loveric as the back-end administrator.

Yes you can't ask for paid subscriptions imho before your site has a loyal following or some compelling content. You are offering designs which is good but imho you need to make sure you have new designs that are of good quality as often as you can.

There has yet to be a successful mybb paid theme site. I would love to see one though.

    Thanks for the advice, Labrocca.

    It is greatly appreciated.

I have high hopes will make it to be the Successful MyBB Paid theme site.

However, may I ask how you define successful?
