In the story that I post, there's generally a lot of foul language. Yet I've posted it enough to know that if I write the word ****, it's going to come out looking like ****. Am I right? So my question is, is this some kind of software built into the website? And if so, why not market this and sell it as parental control software? Imagine how much money you could make if parents could let their kids surf the internet as much as they want and little * thingees will pop up in place of any language they don't want. Now if only they could replace porn with pictures of squirrels or something...
it's a filter built into the vb software running the forums. so when you submit a message, it filters it and then adds it to the site. in that capacity it couldn't work in general internet browsing, but i think there is software that does that.
Actually, there's a little alien sitting on the line that intercepts your message and changes it before it gets to the website. Some call him Egor. --|BRiT|
Lysithea, not that I don't appreciate the rolling smiley, but why is it there? Does it mean something? It confuses me.
It's just a picture of a smilie with the term "rolling on the floor laughing my ass off" Hence the rolling--> :rotflmao: Good story btw
