Hot Link Protection

    Anyone use it? I do, and i had to add my new domain to the list of
    allowed domains. Which finally made my images come up.

    Nope we dont use it, I am sure that disallowing hotlinking prevents google indexing your images which could result in lowered traffic from google image search.

    I doubt it prevents from google indexing your images, if you search some sites their images are indexed but when you hot link them they're unaccessible.

    Yeah I see what youre saying, wouldnt that defeat the point of the images if theyre getting a forbidden message on the ones that are protected, surely they dont really count or something like that.

    Yeah, I don't get why they gain but it makes me mad at times.

    On topic: Ironically I will be using Hot link protection for the signatures I make for my anime site. I have a reason for that, though.

    Its like other people taking images from your site, with your url.
    It should say " No Hot Linking With (Yoursite Name) " Why Not Create Your Own. "
    I seen one just like that somewhere.
