Hello everyone here at AdminBB I've admired this site since I first saw it on the xenforo forums I own a few sites and I'm on several other admin type forums, you may of seen my name around. If you have seen my name around you may of noticed that I like to purchase forums. I've built a small general forum using this method. I've wanted another admin type forum since I sold my old one in 2009 I've purchased this site and we are in the process of transfering it over to my server. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here. PS.. I'm not planning on merging this forum, I want to make this a successful admin forum with at least 1/4 million hits a month like my last one.
It's nice to see so many familiar names here as well I'm really looking forward to this project, I've had an itch for an admin site for the better part of a year now..hehe We're just having a small issue with the domain registrar right now but we should have that resolved shortly and I can go full force next weekend (3 day weekend for me)
Nice to see someone finally here to help run the place and get it back to how it should be although you should know the rules that promotion of websites in welcome topics are not allowed unless you plan to change it of course
Oops I wasn't trying to promote anything, more like offering some background info for the new owner but I don't want to break the rules. Maybe I'll move this to news and reword things a little once we get the site over on my servers.
Welcome to the community Brandon, its been great having you here so far. Im liking the changes.. keep it up
I added tapatalk last night and tweaked some settings in the backend. I want to upgrade the site but I need to secure the updated style first. Once I get this on my box you may see a few more mods added but I'm not going to overload the site.. It must remain fast and secure PS.. I tried to remove that twitter icon up top completely, I don't care for it and it seems to be wasting space IMHO but it broke the layout when I went to comment it out..lol Something to add to the list
lol.. nothing big yet. Adding tapatalk was a good move in the right direction, and we are just waiting for Godaddy as we are having some domain problems.. so until then Brandon cant move AdminBB to his servers and begin working seriously.
Talkatalk was more for me if anything I use my phone for everything, having access to my forums at all times is a big deal for me. If others pick it up, it's a win/win IMO. I'm not to worried about the GD issue, I have a feeling they'll get it resolved ASAP.
I might have to try Tapatalk now I'm at a community where it's in use, no point in downloading apps if you are not going to use them eh?
Welcome Brandon! I hope you will do well in making this a successful admin forum. Not sure if you remember me. I was the guy who was selling the "Community Forums" project.
Good luck with the site. Also, lol at running a "small general forums" It's not as small as you think
