I've been to jail twice, but only arrested once. Second time I turned myself in. So have you ever been to jail?
Nope, not yet and something I try to avoid. Not good for my health. Though I do know quite a few that have been.
Believe it or not, I've been close, but I've been able to avoid it. They don't like it when you drive with an invalid license. :o
Just what kinda invalidation did you have. I know of several, but only 2 types that would be jail time.
I'm diabetic, so every year (well, five years now) the state sends a form for my doctor to fill out to day that I'm okay or not okay to drive. I never received that letter one year, and with my horrible memory I didn't think of it, so my license was invalidated. Almost a year later I was pulled over (I was going UNDER the speed limit and obeying all laws) and that's when I found out I was driving without a license. I almost got to spend 30 days in jail, but the judge's aid let me off. :woohoo:
Nope. I'm too sly for the police. Our lead dev, on the other hand, is not. He got arrested a few days ago for Disturbing the Peace because his car radio was turned up too loud. Cop arrested him on the spot in Best Buy's parking lot. He sat in a holding cell for three hours. His girlfriend had to go bail him out. xD Funniest thing I'd heard in a long time.
That's what we said. But apparently not. He might challenge it considering it was on private property and Best Buy sure as hell didn't report it (he talked to the Manager, plus they like... install car audio and stuff so they're testing those and bumping subs and stuff... wouldn't make much sense for them to report it). He called me at about 12:30 - 1:00 AM, after he got out of jail. Which would've made it around 10:30 - 11:00 PM his time. Minus three hours from that for being in the actual jail, and minus booking and all that, would've made his arrest time anywhere between 7:00 - 8:00 PM.
I think that cop must have missed his donut-time with his other buddy cops. That's just messed up. That said, I don't want to hear other people's music, so it kinda amuses me at the same time, but justice is justice, and that sure ain't.
I laughed at him. No kidding, he told me that and I almost literally started rolling on the floor laughing.
