The other day I did my weekly pass on the Google Analytics and noticed a new feature they added called intelligence. This new features looks at the data provides an alert if something is an outlier.

Say your bounce rate was above average for the period. There would be an alert in the Intelligence area letting you know. From there you dig deeper and see more about the event.

Pretty nifty if you ask me.

Now if they just provide a way for the user to attach notes to the event. Say you send out a newsletter and traffic for the day increases. You could add a note to remind yourself month later when you are wondering why there was a spike on that date.

I noticed this a little while back as well, but didn't really figure out what it is. Thanks for making it easy to understand what it does. :P

It can be as deep or shallow as you desire.

One thing I noticed that for yesterday was that bounce rate for users from Ohio was up 18% of the norm. Why, I have no clue. But for someone that loves statistics and uses them to watch for trends and set goals for the site it sure is fun.
