...you know, the things that make you go  (EEK!) and the things you must have a certain way before you wind up going :spin: (out of your mind). Ironically, Nick, Chris, and myself all share a lot of common OCD moments, especially with the little things. And I personally cannot stand when someone takes the time to register but never posts or comes back. Ugh! Zero-post accounts need to be gone.

    Where to begin...

    • "Zero Post Count" Members - As mentioned above (by Tyler), members who register and then don't post at all drive me absolutely crazy. If you're going to take the time to register, you can at least post an introduction and stick around for a while. By not doing so, you aren't only wasting your own time, but my time as well. As harsh as this may sound, it is something that bothers me to no end. I currently have about 15 members on one of my communities that all have a post count of "0" (zip, zero, nada). Before registering, these people could at least take a few seconds to ask themselves, "am I really going to post on this forum, or am I registering for the hell of it?"
    • Horrible Grammar - If you haven't already noticed, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to being grammatically and organizationally correct. Making a few mistakes here and there is acceptable, but completely and intentionally spelling and/or punctuating incorrectly is annoying. I understand that different people have various writing styles, but some members take it a bit too far.
    • The "One Post" Members - Posting from time-to-time is acceptable, but posting once (not necessarily an introduction) and then leaving for good is not acceptable. If the message posted is also inappropriately short (i.e. one that consists of one word), then that's even worse.
I would go on, but I may not stop!

I pretty much agree with above. I can't complain to much about grammar though, since mine sucks :p But writing in short hand for no reason bothers me.

Horrible grammar or know it alls. I think #1 really irks me. Actually, I think it's a toss-up between #1 and #3 which is how some people overuse some smileys to express their post, but in the end it looks like a macaroni project. :)

Kevin, your style of writing is fine. The ones that really bother me, though... those are obvious.

I get really uncomfortable posting on a forum that I've found has broken images somewhere.

Is it right to say we all have a bit of Monk in us? I mean, it really does seem as we're like him.

Ergh, I keep confusing you two together. Your avatars look nearly the same when I'm super scrolling.

You're complaining about 15 members? I currently have over 1,100 who haven't posted a single time. Unfortunately, that's 78% of our 1,400 members... And they keep on joining! I just can't understand why someone would register but never post (or, in several cases, not even activate their account). It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Yes, I am (and don't use that tone of voice - I mean smiley - with me). I could care less about the amount of them. If there are ANY "zero post" members present on one of my forums, I will become aggravated.

    I love that smiley... :D

I agree, though, the amount doesn't matter - unless, of course, it's every member except for yourself! Zero post users are always aggravating and always so... mysterious.

Yes, they are mysterious. Why would you take the time to register on a forum that you don't intend to participate on?

Exactly, it just doesn't man any sense. There is one special exception on my forums, however - those who join in order to upload downloads to our downloads center - but even then, they're still contributing. Of course, it would always be nice for them to contribute to the forums, too! :)

Zero Posters - They have a set time limit on my forum before I delete their accounts (I deleted 6 thousand accounts about 4-5 months go) Doesn't bother me though. If someone doesn't want to post that is their privelage but I fail to see why an inactive account is beneficial.

Users awaiting e-mail activation - These are the people that really annoy me. They took the time to register but couldn't be bothered to activate their account via e-mail. I normally ban these accounts after a week (sometimes a day pending how I'm feeling.

Users awaiting activation and used a dummy e-mail and need to re-register to download content - Banned, Instantly.

Registered users with the same lengthy lettering aka sloppy registering (member: dddddddddddddd) - Account removed. Able to register again. But still annoying noneoftheless.

The one post spammy member aka Hello/nice work/great site/ me not speak english - Haven't got the time to waste with them, they arent safe yet from the deletion buttion thankfully I'm a lazy admincp admin and very seldom bother untill one day it's national mass prune day.
