For all graphics work (or other work), would a rating system be good?

    Nick,

Since we're starting to have work done by some graphics folks here on AA, why don't you install iTrader 2.5 (iTrader (complimentary version) - vbEnhancer.com) for a way to rate and give each other feedback as a buyer and seller?

This way, we can go ahead and help those newer admins/owners that come to the site and don't know the folks here.

    Thoughts?

Since this is no trivial component, I will certainly have to consult the team on this one. Is there a way to set it up so that it only displays in members' postbit in certain forums (i.e. the graphics and marketplace forums only)?

Also, I see on vBSetup that when you go to a member's profile, the feedback score is right on the main page. I definitely would not want this. I'm assuming it's not hard to put that info into its own tab?

Like Nick sort of implied, I'd like to make use of the mod, but most likely not in its default form. If we could slightly modify it to fit our needs and look natural on the forum (like not having it right on the profile page), I don't think it would be a bad idea.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Nick/Savage, I haven't had a chance to research it too much (although I plan to use it in the near future for some 'trading' that I'm going to be doing on TheWDB.com) at this point.

But, I'm sure it's customizable in those ways.

Just a thought since folks may see this is as a great benefit to have their design work done here versus somewhere else. You can even promote the fact that you have a ratings system to help protect members, etc. :)

I'll set it up on the test board and see what we can do with it. :)

Would you recommend this be used only for paid offers/deals or free ones too?

Great suggestion, Arny (I see that I'm a bit late on joining in on the discussion).

My first inclination would be to use it for paid offers only.

    Thanks Chris :)

Okay, since it's ten dollars I can't test it out first. :(

There was a free version at vBulletin.org but since nexialys decided to leave and have his account deleted, all of his mods were moved to the graveyard. I hate when people do that.

His site says you have to purchase a 'key' to download his 'free' mods. The link takes you to the paid subscriptions page, where I see the $10 package.

Ah...nexia has changed it to a 'freebie license' being $10. :(

I think that I downloaded it (or at least the old 2.10 version), so I'll send it to you if/when I find it. :)

Nick, PM me your email and I'll send it to you when I find it.

Nick, I noticed that we had some iTrader stuff on our postbit yesterday. Are you still testing things out?

Arny, I think things are good to go. It only appears in the postbit in the graphics and marketplace forums as well as in profiles on one of the tabs. I don't think I've granted permissions to all regular usergroups yet though. I'll have to do that when I get to my desk.

Nick, is that the 2.1 or 2.5 version? I have the latest if you need it.

It's 2.1 - the original one you sent me. If you don't mind, I'd like to try out 2.5. Let me know if you need my e-mail address again. :)

    Nick, you've got mail :D

Let me know how it goes with it. I'm looking to use it in the future for some trading that is going to go on at our site.

Nick, is there anyway to add feedback for someone that you conducted business with, but the actual thread doesn't exist because you communicated via personal email and PM? :)
