Do you have plans in place in case of emergencies?

Do your mods know what to do if an emergency arises and you're not there? I'm not just talking about server issues, but also member problems like suicidal ideation or evidence of illegal activity that needs to be brought to the attention of police. At the very least, they need your contact information, but it would be better if they had marching orders.

 

My staff always knows how to reach me - home #, cell #, etc.

 

Well, I only have other administrators.

They have just as much powers as me, and, they can use their common sense and take matters into their own hands.

When I return, I will take action.

 

I have no plan of action, to be honest. I'm reachable at any time via e-mail, so if there's an emergency, I'm likely to be made aware rather quickly. If I don't respond within a couple of hours, then It'd be safe to assume I'm having an emergency of my own. :lol:

 

If there's an emergency situation that requires my attention, my fellow staff members know to contact me via e-mail and/or send me a text message.

 

There are forums regarding almost limitless topics. If I had a forum that might have these types of issues I'd try to have a plan worked out ahead of time.

I really cannot fathom some that the bold part happening on AA for instance, I can envision that happening on certain other types of forums.

Whereis IP or ping/tracert might give some idea where the person is geographically located that is making these types of posts. I'm not sure what else could be done.
