A suggestion. I think installing the Chief First Post - Every Page - [Thread Based] for the Free Graphics area would be nice. This will allow returning members who need to re-download the content to get to the threads whilst still maintain in reading the latest replies without reverting back to the first page of a potential growing thread.

I think it's safe to put it this way: we won't ever turn a suggestion down without good cause.

I've taken part in too many forums that ignore inquiries, requests, suggestions and the like - and I cannot stand it when things like that go unnoticed and ignored. So my goal is to be just the opposite and appreciate every single suggestion put forth.

If I continued this, I could make a great tongue twister but then my reputation of being a thread hi-jacker would soar...

Especially this being a suggestion thread.

I still haven't figured that out myself, to be honest. Although, I only skimmed the threads.

I read the OP on both and they basically read the same.

The 'forum' one has a different option for how it is setup (at least last time I looked) and also you can setup an entire forum instead of having to choose it each time you post ;)

Plus I am pretty sure the 'thread' one people had troubles with.

I've only ever used the thread chief post script. I don't know what the differences are between that and the other chief script.

Looks to me you may need to add some elements into the script that you implemented into the legacy here (like the forum: name of site/software 3.8.x etc). So I'm quite sure a little modification to the script will need doing just something to bare in mind.

    Thanks Kevin.

I'm wondering... once installed, can this be set up on a per forum basis, or does it work on all forums automatically?

Per forum. There is a setting in the forums manager. Also with their own templates. It's a very nice setup.
