My Adsense ads were going strong in the first half of the month, and for a while it looked like it was going to set a personal record. About a week ago earnings (and traffic, to a lesser extent) dropped dramatically, and while some of the drop in traffic is definitely legitimate (fewer postings on my main forum this month), Google Analytics is showing more traffic and clickthroughs then Adsense. It's particularly noticable on one site that got a bump earlier this week, and several new members, but for the past five days Analytics on that site is showing 100-500 pageviews while Adsense is showing 1-3. (The ads are displaying normally when I visit, the publisher ID is correct, etc.)

Should I even bother whining to Adsense? (I've heard they just tell you that the Adsense numbers are the correct ones.) Should I wait some more?

Sometimes their reporting can fall behind, how long has this been going on? Usually anything longer than 72 hours you may just want to send an email to them.
