We've added a new Profile Completion System to Admin-Talk
You may have seen progress bars like this on several social sites, the first one that comes to my mine is on LinkedIn.
This is a nice mod from xenforo, and here is what it looks like to new members.

I think it’ll be pretty nice and will hopefully give members a reason to fill out their profiles.

    Miner and cpvr like this.

Forums You Staff: I get the following error "Please enter a value that matches the required format."
I tried using a url, alpha numeric text, a plain 0, but still get that error.

Ok, so I tried 1 and that worked so I went back and tried 0 and that now works. Hmm, maybe it was the letter O and not a zero I tried. Must be the wine... yea that's it!

    really, it blocks it?
Maybe that's why it wasn't showing up for me when I was testing it on firefox..
Weird, wouldn't think adblock would block it, I'll bring this up to the devs. ;)

    thanks

No, it doesn't. Jura said that *s/he* adblocked it. If you right-click it, you can tell adblock to get rid of it just like with any other block like that. I'm assuming that's to indicate s/he doesn't like the new addon.

Can I just inquire on how to update my status? I can not seem to find the option for that yet :(

Well if it's listed on the list of things for you to do, you should be able to just click the link and it'll take you there.

Otherwise, go into your profile page by clicking on your name and on through...or in the upper right of the screen.

This is mystifying me too. Clicking on "Update Status" just brings me back to the same page with no sign of any control that appears to update any status that clears the update status button.

ah okay, I'll have to check that out
You can click on your name anywhere you see it on the site, this will pull up your profile card and clicking the profile link will get you to your actual profile page where you can then update your status.

    Sorry about the confusion.

Aha - there is no sign of the yellow edit box that says "Write something" with a Post button. Don't tell me it uses Java because I have uninstalled that due to the recent security panic - and why should it, because everything else has been fine.

I wonder if this is relevant - someone having problems with drop-downs:
Anyone having silly issues with Firefox and Xenforo?

I'll have to check it out with one of my new accounts tonight after work, unfortunately I don't have time to look right now. :(

    --edit--
it might be a usergroup setting now that I think about it..
The "active" usergroup can access their statuses

    --edit--
    okay, try now

    thanks
