Hey all. Need a little help here. Had a couple of members on a vb forum request that they have a nice easy link that they can click to add pages to their favourites. I'm looking around and can find loads of javascript for "bookmark this URL" type thing. But those all appear to just bookmark the actual web address and not the actual page they're on (topic they're reading). Some are able to and do use the subscriptions option in VB, and we have it set to email them instantly and all that. But we have an old average age and after one person suggested it another few said it would do no harm and they would use it from time to time too. So, can anybody help me find the right javascript (or something else) that can do this? I'm sure I had one once on an old website that collected the current URL of the page you're reading and the page title was used as the title for the bookmark, I just can't seem to find it right now.
Dynamic drive has a script thats modifiable but it doesnt seem to work correctly in ie8. This may help a little: http://www.adminaddict.net/forum/backend-technical/bookmark-us-your-vbulletin-forum-5071/
Hmmm. That doesn't work for topics. Only forum categories and the homepage it seems. Anybody know if there's anything that can bookmark actual topic pages as those are the ones the members seem to want to bookmark quickly using their browser. Edit: I got THIS to work for actual threads.
