I'm not sure how long this deal will last, but I just tried it and it seems to still be valid -- GoDaddy domains are just $4! There is no minimum purchase or anything; you can buy just one domain if you wanted and still get the discount.

Use coupon code: cjcBLACK09 at checkout.

Let me know if you take advantage, and if it worked. :)

    Other Black Friday Deals:

Netfirms - $4.95 domains [Code: PASSITON - Expires: Nov 30th]

I've updated my post with another find for $4.95. I'll continue to update it as I find more Black Friday deals. :)

Darn, just got a domain today too...could've used the discount to get it cheaper than the $7.50 I paid.

Gotta think of those couple additional domain names that I wanted. :)

Hmmm...I can think of a few uses for this, but I HATE GoDaddy. I suppose I could transfer them to NameCheap when my year is up...

    Thanks, Nick!

That's exactly what I would do; all GoDaddy domains I have, have had, and ever will have, will be transferred to my NameCheap account at sometime in their lives.

So how does that work? If I buy a domain for $4 at GD then transfer it somewhere else right away, then I need to pay $ where I transfer it to?

Yes, you have to pay the new registrar when you do the transfer. If you wait until the domain is about to expire though, it's nothing worse than if you were to renew it at full price.

Switching to NameCheap is not more than $7 or maybe $8 with their monthly coupon code, though.

1 - WhoisGuard is free with NameCheap domains.

2 - GoDaddy support sucks, they are greedy and too disloyal to customers. They are too large of a company to give a damn about their average customers.

    I just can't do it. :(

I hovered around GD's site for a few minutes, tried to decide if I should even do a search on their site (they've been known in the past to register domains that are searched on their site if you don't buy it right away), and finally I exited.

It's just worth it to me to register at NameCheap, especially since they have Whoisguard and free SSLs as default. That, and I can just take care of all my domain needs in one place. :) When you have 134 of them, that's worth it. ;)

Wow! Now I don't feel so bad about my collection of undeveloped domains :)
