Page refresh

Hey, Big Giant Head,

I know it is likely me, but did something change that would cause Alien Soup pages to not reload from the server but always from local cache?

I'm missing thread updates when I pop back into a thread. Hitting "refresh" get's the new data. I noticed 'cause I was monitoring the "Active Topics" and would see a thread get an update, but when I click to jump to the thread, it initially shows the thread as the last time I looked at it, without the update, then a refresh fixes it. It is a real pain, and I'm wondering if the Soup is not telling my browser that the page changed? Could I have a setting really wrong? I don't seem to have the issue anywhere else.

Wadda think, oh reviered large cranium one? .

BTW, I just noticed that the "Active Topics" page does not suffer from this, just thread pages...

Did it never do this, and all of a sudden start this?

Refreshing pages has always been a very clumsy function. .

Hmmmm, I'm not encountering this myself.. I'll keep my eyes open...

Yeah I thought it was just my crappy computer here at work...it's been lately it's started doing this...the past week or so...

It is hard to see because it is an error of omission rather than a "hard" error (corrupt data). It is very obvious if you monitor the "Active Topics" then pop into a message of interest and *NOT* see the new post.

It feels like this started around the time of the recent new Soup "look and feel", but I'm not certain, because it is so hard to see if it is happening.

Oh hey, it also seems to happen if you punch the "Click here if you are not automatically forwarded" (or whatever) link after posting a reply... Don't know if it is related.

I don't click that click here thing and it happens to me. As I said, it's only started happening in the last week or so...maybe two weeks tops.
