I've been thinking about adding vBa as our home page to help organize the great content we're accumulating.

I would rename the index.php to forum.php and our new home page would be the vBa page.

I have a brandfree version from back when I had vBSetup.

I've also been thinking about adding GAZ to this site so we have a great newsletter to send out.

have you used either of these products, thoughts?

I'm using vBAdvanced on Freestyle.FM and I love it. It really does help to organize things a bit. Can't wait to see how you use it here.

Never used GAZ but I was always interested in it. However after The Geek sold the site, its' has been the same in terms of updates and new features. The last time I checked which was about a few weeks to a month ago, the site members were shouting for support and whether or not the scripts would be updated to vb4. It seemed to fall on deaf ears as I have not seen Morgan active on that site for some time.

I've used vbadvanced a lot in the past, I've always been an anti-vba product though..lol but it really is pretty nice, you can make some nice custom page. I know bdude posted one on vbsetup, let me see if I can find it.

Yeah I don't see what would hurt by adding either one of those products :)

I'm pretty sure at some point I'll setup vBa on this site if anything, to help make a few custom pages that I've been thinking over.
    I like GAZ a lot, but I can't get logged into thevbgeek.com
Everytime I go to reset my pass, it comes to a blank page, and it was set to lock out after one failed login!
I emailed the owner using the contact us link, I think they upped the login attempts, but I still can't reset my pass, so I can't even buy it!!

I had always planned on using Email Marketing Solutions from Constant Contact when I started this forum, maybe that will have to be what I use.
Can admins export all emails that opt into admin emails?

I'll have to check, if so, I'll use CC since GAZ doesn't look like it'll work even though it's awesome!

Because of vBa I hate IB even more. Because I moved from using WP integrated to vBa in preparation to move to vB4. And now vB4 has turned out to be a piece of junk, I'm stuck on vBa...

excellent, I figured there was an option.
I think I'll go with Constant Contact since it doesn't look like I can even buy GAZ...lol
Email Marketing Pricing Plans - Constant Contact
This is their pricing plan, I think we'll have 2,000 members after the AlienSoup merge, so it looks like that would be the 30$ a month plan.
I don't exactly plan on sending out a newsletter each month though, I wonder if I can get something setup and maybe only pay 4 times a year and send the newsletters out quarterly.
I'll check it all out after the merge. I like CC because you can see what links are being opened, if the email was even opened and what time of day it was opened. Very useful info if you want to get the most out of your newsletters.
