Okay, a little about myself, altho you know me already or you wouldn't be here, LOL. But I'll put this up just in case someone wanders in who may not know me. I'm Liz aka Southernlady. We currently reside in eastern Tennessee after spending 2 years on the coast of North Carolina and 6 years in Michigan. I'm what they refer to as a GRITS: Girl Raised In the South. I'm married to the sweetest dh possible...met him online almost 12 years ago now and thanks to him, I have two stepdaughters. But our story is on one of my websites. He is a member here too. I got interested in Paint Shop Pro about 5 years ago. Taught myself most of what I know until recently when I decided to start classes. Went to two online schools. One for general PSP knowledge and to learn how to make tags and how to use animation shop. The other was to learn how to tube. I'm a Red Hatter (over 50) and I do web design and also read HiJack Logs when I feel up to it (which I haven't lately). Those are security logs that help clean out your computer from spyware and other bad things that keep you from enjoying your time online. I've created a number of sites and love to play with graphics. And if you go to my site: GBLCreations you will see some of what I've done. So that's me...or a bit about me...I'm mostly a computer geek now. Liz
Thanks for sharing that with us Liz. And as I sad before, very nice board. Do you know Jennifer Knapp? She did a song with GRITS
Hadn't heard of her...just googled the name and nothing she's done sounds familiar. And thank you for the compliment, that means alot coming from someone who has his own forum. Liz
I served as a 2LT in the US Army Signal Corp. 1982-1984 in Chievres, Belgium with the 128th Signal Company. We were part of the 39th Signal Battalion out of Bremerhaven, Germany (West at the time). I also served with the SCARNG (South Carolina Army Reserve National Guard) while I was finishing up my BS degree prior to going active duty. I only have a few shots of me from back then, you can see them here: Liz' Commissioning Liz, Veteran 1982-1984 USA Signal Corp
I'm starting this forum as with an intro May I say that you are not "just another vet" as some would say, but IMHO, you are another one of our countries heroes that had decided to be patriotic. And to you, and those that have served, and/or are serving, Thanks! Dave P.S. And tomorrow is Independence Day. We are free today because of our patriots.
