Sold - vBulletin license that I want to sell

I have an expired vBulletin license that I want to sell since I'm not using vBulletin anymore. The license it's a 3.8.x license and it's expired, the last vB 3 version that can be downloaded is 3.8.5 and the last vB 4 is 4.0.2 Patch Level 10.

As i understand it, it's no longer possible to pay the update price and get a later version of vb3, is that correct?

 

Thanks Bob, i have a few vb3 licences (i feel vb4 is being sold to unbeknowing beta testers!, look at how many security patches and bug updates they've had since releasing it!, not fit for the purpose i say!) and when i last logged on to vbulletin i didnt see an option to allow a further license extension, which would mean if i wanted to use this as vb3 then i'd be stuck with 3.8.5 which does have a few bugs/security issues, i'm not entirely sure where i would stand if i made the file edits myself (the patches they released were small changes) to make it workable, do you have any better idea than me?

 

Well if you want other vBulletin licenses that have access to newer vb 3.8.x versions, you can copy/overwrite the changed files and just change the license information in the header.

Yes you could but that wouldn't be complying with the license and hence illegal, it wouldn't be good to set up a forum with the latest version and then being told roll back or remove it, i'd have to find out the legalities of that.

 

Anyone else, I sell it if some one offers 80$.
