I know that Chase runs Talk Delaware Online forums is your source for chat, news, and information in Delaware and it's been very successful. Lots of work that you can do to run a local site. Pair up with city folks and get a nice discussion forum to add to their current sites and help them run it. Team up with local businesses and try to route business to them and have review areas on the site for the restaurants and service locations around the city/state. Lots of cool ideas that you can go with.
Yeh i have got a few ideas in my head Just going to take it slowly, not rush it, i think thats were i faulted with my other forums.
It can be really tough to do... If you got a community that is general all older folks that don't lke or don't use computers its really tough... Thats what my site was suppose to be in original design but after opening up and and putting out some conversations on other forums my site has grown... I've seen members from all over the place... So it something to re-consider and think about... Maybe extend outwards a bit more and include several towns... (Just a thought!)
no, i dont, it just turns out that a lot of the members on one forum i am admin on, all live in the north of england, although there are a few members from other parts of the country, and one from australia
I was going to do in on the town i live in Bury but I have thought about it and I am going to do it on my city now instead.
I run my forums for helping people in my country specially and in all the world generally to rethink and create ideas for their countries and what we can provide for a flourishing future

That is exactly what we are trying to do, but have so far failed in promotion. And that is why I am here - to learn how to do that better.
I'm preparing to create a forum about the city that I live in... But not just the city, the surrounding towns too. And I'm sure it'll be successful because we have a lot of younger people in the city AND the only sites related to the city are either a one-forum discussion area (like City-Data or Yelp) or it's an event-calendar site. Haven't found a dedicated forum for my city.
