Check out the new blog about SEO for IPB 3.1. The proof people at IPB are listening to their customers. :sweet:
The more I read about IPB from you recent switchers the more I'm liking it. You & Brandon might just becoming the best salesman for IPB yet.
Holy Cow Batman, a company that is actually listening to it's customers. As surprised as that makes me, it really shouldn't. It's great to see I made the right choice when trying to decide between IPB and vB.
IPB looks better and better every day. I especially love how Matt personally replied to one of the comments on that blog entry. Gosh, I've been missing out on so much by sticking with vBulletin lately!
Maybe it's time to come over from the dark side. Pretty soon vB is going to run out of customers and won't be making enough money to develop useful features, might as well come over while you're still ahead.
Dan, I'm really not trying to sell IPB to anyone (although I can hook you up with an affiliate link, if you're interested :lol, I'm just trying to show people how things are on the IPB side of the street. Ask some of the vB 4 Alpha testers how their suggestions were received at vB Solutions. Largely ignored seemed to be how suggestions were handled. And here I am, barely 60 days in as an IPB customer and Matt is contacting me, asking what I would like to see? When I pointed out the multiple URL I found (mentioned in another thread), Matt told me he had implemented the fix in the IPB 3.1 code and sent me the fix for my sites. Heck, I figure I am little more than a Johnny-come-lately at IPB and I am being treated like an old friend? Yep, that's the kind of customer attention that separates the winning companies from the losers.
Great stuff.....IPB is making some great moves and listening to their clients! Huge public relations wins on both fronts.
What impresses me is they hear us and we are obviously in the minority. There don't seem to be many IPB admins that care much about trying to improve SEO. Then again, maybe we're just the vocal ones?
I think we are vocal, but I haven't seen many ipb admins concerned about SEO I think the IPB devs appreciate our ideas, as much as we appreciate them listening
We are giving them new fresh ideas. That happens all the time when a vocal group of experienced admins come on board.
