David, I have to ask...if this is such a potential money maker, why are you selling it?

Honest question, not trying to inflame anyone.

 

David, do you have any sort of proof or otherwise assurance that this has as much potential as you say? (Not that I'm questioning your word... - see below.)

It's well worth the investment if I could churn out $1k per month eventually, but only under that sort of condition. I'm only interested if that sort of income can be guaranteed.

 

The design is great and very professional! But just a week (or even under a week ago,) I remember you doing exchanges because you were going to launch. If in a week you're website can become a total money maker, I'd want some major tips.

 

Just to be clear, this current site hasn't made a dime yet, I want to be very clear on that. While I can't guarantee its success, my last one was a major money maker and earner. It was making $550 per month from host gator alone in its prime (easily) and around $400 from other providers. (See screen shots from HG affiliate panel, I've forgot my other affiliate account logins and no longer have access to the email address I signed up with at the time for them all)

Its success really depends on the person marketing it and how much time they want to put into it. If you only put 15-20 minutes a month into telling people about it, don't expect much, but if you can dedicate a little bit of time every month it can be a winner. Seriously if you run a hosting related community, webmaster/admin, or post a lot on these communities it can drive a lot of traffic to it and naturally feed off each others success.

Some people will tell you to buy traffic as it converts for affiliate sales, but I'll be the first to tell you its a waste. I tried that the first time I had a site like this and the traffic didn't hardly convert at all. See the next paragraph for what I found worked best.

With the other site i was majorly active on online communities like WHT, Digital Point, NetBuilders, vB.org, vB.com and a few other sites and all I did was have a signature link in, and occasionally wrote an article to drive some traffic to the site. I had a decently high post count at a few of the communities so that always helped.

@TomZilla, I did exchange reviews for posts over on TAZ. For those who don't know how that works, I simply asked for people with hosting experience on those companies listed on the site could share them, and in return I made a few posts on their forums.

@Chani I'm selling it because I know I don't have the time to market it. I could let it sit there promote it with the little online time I spend and make a quick couple hundred bucks every month, but I'd prefer to build sites, sell them and let the new owner rake in the big bucks.

 

My last month of HG barely made 100, my Liquid Web made just over 550.

Just a little update. I've added a Site/Hosting FAQ as well as an articles category that I'll write a few articles for to help promote the site. Also, made sure there was atleast 1 post in every category so they all appear and are correctly ordered in the navbar (Shared -> VPS -> Dedicated)

If no one makes any more bids in a few days and doesn't have a problem with me ending the exclusive AA offer I'll proceed to listing this on other sites to get a faster sale since its pretty much now finished
