Regarding the best-forum-software.com url, it shows that Internet Brands consists of a group of arrogant, extremely greedy, self-serving people who lack total perspective and customers can expect more of the same bad treatment. If you read what was going on, IB basically said that "we are the best, you're going to use our software no matter what price we charge you, the prior company gave you more for your money than they should have, now go pay up and quit complaining because we are calling the shots now." I have never seen a company tell customers you have a bit more than 10 days to pay almost 4 times what you thought you'd pay or else we are going to treat you like non customers. And now that there is an understandable wave of furious customers, who are human beings, their forum software mysteriously goes down for maintenance for a few days. And then these idiots put up a URL "best-forum-software"????? Are they still trying to give us the same message and shove it down the customers throats? 15 yard penalty for taunting and throw Internet Brands and vbulletin out of the game for future project development. expect it to be a cash liability and have "major upgrades" every year, at least to version numbers.
Agree with Dave here! You don't want to use their software they are NOT pushing you to do so! You don't have to pay! You can move on if you like! They're not saying a n y t h i n g. /inb4moreoverraction
Wow... WOW. That is all I have to say. Posting here??? I'm making my way through this long thread and I have to say that this surprise is not surprising and this is yet more of the same. No offense if he is listening but this entire takeover has been an expedition in amateurism at the highest level. Who can even explain this mind numbing attempt to spin an alpha upgrade with "huge savings" done in shotgun to the head format. It is a textbook example of how to kill your business and infuriate your customer base. It makes me wonder who is at the helm and if anyone is actually watching. If they are, let me know where to send my resume.
Why should someone have to spend more money on something they've already purchased? Last I checked, there was no law saying that opinions couldn't be expressed, positive, or negative. learn to deal with those opinions, quit insulting individuals for having them. At least they actually think for themselves instead of buying everything some spin doctor tells them.

Good good. Your mind is yours, you should never allow anyone or anything to tell you otherwise. Once you lose this ability, your just another walking zombie in an ever growing apocalypse that surrounds our lives and behaviour. If you feel you want to be a puppet in a long line of puppets then believe whatever is said. I can sniff out lies when they are spun like cotton on a sewing machine. Sure, they'll attempt to make you look foolish but you have stood by your principles which truly shows the character. It won't be the first time we hear nonsense and I'm sure it will not be the last. People have the right to express themselves. If these are negative towards a company this should be embraced as much as the comments that are positive towards them. Just an opinion.
