Is that the case with vBulletin as a whole?

    Seems like it.

If you want to laught........ Paul was waiting someone else to do the first step admiting that vb.com has been hacked and then added to that post:
But some hours before he was shouting in different posts:
    • The server was not hacked yesterday, the screenshots date it at sometime in October (more than likely they did it even earlier, just took later shots).
    • vb.org & vb.com were last down (12th/13th depending on your timezone) because of scheduled work on the database server.
    • Where exactly have MacRumors admitted that they were hacked because (1) A moderator used the same password on vb.com and their site, (2) Assuming they cracked the password from vb.com, this moderator account was used to hack them ? (Really he didn't knew it?? ...lol...)
and of course he has the support of TheLastServant who was ready to kill anybody who dared to talk against his boss.

I'm wondering why IB still keeps them in the company. Can't find any realable person (I vote 100% for Lynne) as Administrator there? If he is so valuable as coder at least lets keep him hidden in an office for coding only. He is not the right person to communicate with.

Then let's collect signatures (don't know how you call it in English) and send an email to IB asking them to "clear the field". In simple words to kick him out from vb.org. Nobody has the right with his mistaken actions to kill a community which took years to growup.

I don't have problem to do it, but:

    1. Who cares for what a Greek is saying
    2. Don't have the language power to express all the negative points of that guy.
Other than this, he already knows my opinion for him that's why I've permantenly ban from vB.org. There are dozens threads started by me at vb.org saying what's going wrong there. I never did something as back-kick. When Adrian (if I remember well his name) was Sales Manager of IB I've post on his public wall reporting that what Paul M did was like if a castle's leader opens the door to the enemy. It was the days that Paul M released a vBulletin importer for xenForo. While as Administrator he has to do his best to keep the customers, he was giving them a way to go away.

....and many more......... need pages of pages to list all......

The staging server indeed got hacked, followed by the vb.org / vb.com website. The end result is that the main vbulletin site was hacked and the vb customer data was stolen from you. Stating that it was just the staging server that got hacked is not portraying this delicate situation fully and therefore not truthfully. It's a bit like stating vbulletin 5 is 'out of beta' making it seem as a Gold release, while its an epic mess.

I do wonder: how many competitors of Internet Brands websites received an email notification?
To everyone who did not receive an email notification warning about this: does your website compete with internet brands websites?

I assume that they forgot to email customers that opted out of their spam mailings.

Just about every statement he makes is BS or twisted.
How about you look at what is really gong on right under your nose.

Let me explain again for you, as the staff on VB seem to be unable to grasp reality.

When the staff do the following, then there will be an inevitable backlash from those affected (your CUSTOMERS) remember them, the reason for your employment.

    Alter valid comments.
Ban customers who have the audacity to post the truth instead of praising you lot.
Post sarcastic comments to denigrate any who dare speak out. How many times have I and others been called trolls for posting valid comments?
Refuse to investigate fairly when an official complaint is received about a unethical staff member. BirdOPrey5. ( Yes Lynne is just as guilty in this case as well.)
Post propaganda BS about VB5. the biggest fail in history.
Hide the truth and replace it with crap.
Twist and alter the valid comments of the members. ETC. ETC. ETC.

The part that fills me with pity for the staff members, is that you just cannot see what you are doing and how it can clearly be seen and understood by us all.

Wake up morons, the customers are mainly experienced admins and webmasters who are clever enough to run websites, so can see through your BS quite easily.

Instead of coming on here trying to muddy the water even more, how about trying to treat your customers with the respect they deserve.
A good start would be to publicly apologize for the stupid past actions, reinstate the wrongfully banned members and return the altered comments back to what they originally said.

It is quite revealing that you ban members for posting truthful valid comments, but say you cannot act to stop an accused scammer from posting, indeed you have actually supported him and allow him to continue to post offering work on websites.

When you discuss with the others why things are going so badly wrong, try discussing the points above and maybe, just maybe you will actually see the light.

It is becoming quite apparent to me that Internet Brands has no idea beyond the logs of how extensive the data breach is. The mentality is one of "if it isn't in the logs, it didn't happen". Well, given that the attackers had root access to the servers, I question the integrity of the logs. They could have been tampered with.

I am almost tempted to say that any piece of information, with the exception of credit card numbers, is at risk. The attackers had access to everything.

They should be bringing in incident response specialists to analyze the full extent of the breach, but instead they are doing this all in house. A HUGE faux pas.

The more I check on the internet about comments posted regarding VB the more a picture of abject failure is emerging.

Not too long ago anyone who exposed the failings of VB were criticized and often called trolls.
Not so much now, as so many others are proving that what was said is turning out to be accurate.

The BS continues on VB.org and probably will until the last staff member is fired or let go. Employment wise they are digging their own graves.

It is obvious that there is no one in authority that can see the failure and impending and inevitable results of the infantile actions of the ego driven staff members.

No matter how much money one section of a group is making, eventually it will stop bleeding money to any other section that is going downhill.

The total lack of action by the top management says it all, as they happily feed the VB.org staff members to the wolves.

Today vb.org got littered with link spam. And all the links popped up at licensed member areas.

All the spam users are registered in November 2013, so when you start connecting the dots, all it takes to post on those forums, is to have an account through a vb.com licensed customer email.

I wonder where did they get all those emails.

In meantime you're greeted with this "kind" screen.
