Still acting like a moron again I see. There's no room under my bridge, you and Mark have taken up permanent residency as you attempt to highjack this thread again to draw attention to your immaturity.

What do you suggest the title should have been given the content of the OP exactly?

Just make a new thread with title something like, "why IB affiliate itself with a shitty hosting company?"

Going back to the original topic; has this shit reached Gold standard yet?

Dear misguided Paul M. The OP was one post with TWO components, instigated by VB.

One was the VB5 announcement and the other IN THE SAME MESSAGE was spam, and to top it off it was spam to a viral site that seems to also have a bad reputation.

As BOTH are part of the same message sent by VB, then BOTH are obviously involved and it is on course for EITHER part to be discussed, ergo there is NO deviation from the OP.

If you cannot see it then you really need to get better glasses. ;)

May I make a suggestion for the thread title change?

vB5.0.5 released, but what have they done in their marketing email for the release?

LOL. I would not go anywhere near anything infected by you.

If the topic was actually about what the OP posted, it wouldnt need changing.
After two posts it should be "Another Rant about Internet Brands".

Huh ? What are you on about ?

Do you know what is funny a moderator/owner of the forum all ready said it was on topic and is allowed to talk about it. But yet you are questioning his decision, if we do that on the vBulletin forum its not allowed, so why do you think its all right to it here. Why do you not give this website the same courtesy as the vBulletin forum?

Not sure why you keep making it a point to point out when customers/ ex-customers raise their concerns with IB's tactics and strategies. If there are concerns and people raise them, it is definitely not your position to make judgement on them, especially not on a third-party site. You'll only make the matters worse. This is not the kind of heart you should be showing.

Don't look now but he has highjacked another thread. Making it either about himself or his phoney loyalty to vB faking "DUH" when he can't find intelligent come backs.

In the early days of forums there were many who let their alligator mouth over load their humming bird ass expressing their immaturity by bulling others. It was generally a result of them not being able to fight back against those who stole their lunch money. Feeling inferior people like him become keyboard bullies.

He obviously has exhausted his ban powers on vB forum and decided to come here to continue to harass people he banned. Not being able to shit in his own back yard, he power trips here and shits in Brandon's forum.

A sad little man I'd say.

I used to think that Paul came here for the conversation, but as he gets shafted every time he posts crap,
I now think it is not the conversations that he come here for after all. ! :wacky:

    :weluvxf:

Is this similar to VB sending out a release email that we expect to be about a VB update and NOT about a spam link to a viral site?

Paul I trust that you will raise your disgust with VB as well as on here, about such practices?

After all the experience gleaned from working on VB and supporting customers by banning and deleting their valid comments.
Paul shows us how to win friends and influence enemies.

WOW!! we are SOOOO blessed to have him here.

He owns the site, his rules.

That's all it comes down to. I honestly wouldn't keep arguing if I was you, it's better to just assume a staff member/owner's word is final and is what goes.

Also, in case you're wondering... on every forum I've been on, going 'off topic' like this has been perfectly fine. In fact, on near enough all of them, what was said in this topic would be considered perfectly relevant to the topic/topic title, because vB's own announcement brought up the affiliate link and stuff.

What wouldn't be fine is you and a bunch of others slinging insults and name calling around.

As for the vBulletin thing in the email... well I do have to say it's kind of a poor show for vBulletin to be linking to a known dishonest hosting company in their marketing materials and trying to profit via third party affiliate links in official correspondance. Seems like something you'd see from someone on Digitalpoint or Warrior Forum.

The stuff fixed is nice I guess, although it'd be unnecessary if the software was good to begin with. If that had been the case, we might have got fixes of... 'important' problems.

Paul this is the biggest load of crap I have ever seen. While I have not always seen eye to eye with Brandon he has always been a reasonable guy.

What you fail to comprehend is that PART of the email from VB was quoted in the OP and this is ONE of the things that members are discussing. All perfectly justified and relevant. As everyone else can see, except you.

Dude I cannot for the life of me see why you are coming across as such a loser. ( Notice how I am still being polite to you)

Are you under the illusion that you are helping VB or yourself by insulting and attacking members, who have a right to post their opinion? Comments such as yours are continuously undermining VB/IB and maybe you should be one of those who are asked to leave, as you are only destroying the once good reputation of VB/IB.

I didn't see one for the 5.0.4 release but I got the one for 5.0.5 where they said I was a valued customer. I guess they haven't talked with their staff lately ROFLMAO

This looks even more trashy then.

They don't send release emails unless they are putting affiliate links in with them to.

Paul M. and Mark B. are really, good fits there. They both are super symbolic of the company they work for with their online persona's.
