The style on use here is not bad, but you should really either replace or lose the stock photo of the group of people in the header...they look nothing like forum nerds ;)

I'll photoshop some glasses on them :D

actually this has been brought up a few times, but I still haven't had time to look for a better group for that spot

I agree. Why not paste some bobble-head style head cutouts of your most frequent real world forum pros here?! =)

That's a neat idea. Better yet if you could script it out to automatically build an image of the top posters on a weekly basis.

Could be a problem for the many, many posters here who use fictional characters, logos, animal pictures or cartoons as their avatars. Or anyone not looking remotely straight ahead in their profile picture. Still an interesting idea though.

How do you know they look nothing like 'forum nerds'? For all we know, that could be the spitting image of the other members here!

I like that idea. Could just stick the blocky avatars on there, sorta like Minecraft-style. Just predetermine slight angles and avatar sizing. Great idea, Dan. Would take a bit of work, but would be fun. Might even make a cool plugin for the aftermarkets <-- First time I've said that. Does that work? :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackergotchi could be the answer. I've always thought it was neat how Linux communities had little freakish floating heads. :) Hackergotchi's could be incorporated into Xenforo with something as simple as a URL profile field.
